TICA THAI
Sandypoints Mey Lee and Sandypoints Sumalee-- our kitten queens-to-be
Our two new 5-month old kittens (From Saffi's last litter) recently went to a TICA (The International Cat Association) show. TICA has given the old-style Siamese Preliminary New Breed (PNB) status, to be shown as "Thai" ("Siamese" is already taken by the show-style Siamese, and although they have the same ancestors in their pedigrees, the old-style Siamese just does not meet the "Siamese" breed standard requirements, as they were written to match the show-style Siamese). So-- it's a case of "...a rose by any other name..." These two little girls were recently registered "Thai" in TICA and "Siamese" in the other cat registries. Sandypoints Mey Lee (back) was awarded two "Best of Breed" ribbons in competition with all of the other cats with the status of "Preliminary New Breed" at a TICA at a show in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Mey Ley is a chocolate point, and Suma Lee (front) is a seal point. Another littermate, Sandypoint's Chakri, is now in Italy, and has won several PNB ribbons in Europe. Chakri is a lilac point. In early February, the girls attended another show in Reading, PA, where they did very well!
Sandypoints Sa Fire La Mi Dori
"Safi" (seal point daughter of Brandy and Yoda) is named in memory of two of our past Siamese.
