In the southeast, rock weathers quickly; lovely wildflowers and stately trees obscure everything not vertical. (And we won't even talk about kudzu!) For most decent exposures of rock, we rely on the Georgia Department of Transportation, land developers, and stream beds. Here are a few favorite roadcuts and other sites:
A word of caution: roadcuts tend to lie close to roads. For God's sake BE CAREFUL! Don't get squashed by crazy Georgia drivers!
