Hong Kong Girls With Guns

Killer Angels

I think this was a good movie. I'm not sure because the tape I got was a bad transfer and during the scenes occuring at night(which were probably shot dark to begin with) it's hard to see just what the hell is going on. Unfortunately, most of the fights occur at night or in dark rooms, making for a very frustrating viewing experience. There's one fight scene in particular in which it's totally impossible to discern what's happening. When I viewed this movie a second time I got a better idea of what was happening.

Moon Lee is part of a crime-fighting team called Blue Angels, assigned to protect an informant, Jackie Chan(No, not that Jackie Chan!) who is an ex-member of the Shadow Gang criminal organization. He has in his possession a list of Shadow Gang members in Hong Kong, information both the cops and criminals want. Jackie believes the leader of the South East Asian Shadows is operating in Hong Kong, but is not sure of his identity, so he wants to use the list to lure him out into the open. It's suspected nightclub owner Don Chui is the man they're after, so Moon goes undercover at one of his establishments to gather evidence, and while there develops a interesting relationship with Michael, Chui's right hand man.

This had some good action sequences, and some martial arts that I would have enjoyed a lot more if I could see what was happening! There's also a shoot-out at the end which could have been staged much better. Still an enjoyable movie since most of the focus is on Moon Lee, which is how it should be. One note about this movie: The dubbed version has been edited, a scene with Moon Lee performing a song has been removed!
