Milwaukee School of Engineering This is an article describing medical applications of rapid prototyping at MSOE by Debbie Adler and Sarah Vickman. It also provides a very good summary of the field as a whole including mechanical bone replicas, teaching aids and simulators, customized surgical implants, prosthetics and othotics, MEMS, anthropology and forensics. Illustrative of many of these fields is this page of abstracts and descriptions of research projects by MSOE undergrad students.
