Behind the Name

The Name of the web site basically came about after Elise and I thrashed around for a few weeks with different names and really didn't come up with anything that "struck a chord" with what the trip represented. One day I heard the "Breakfast in America" song (by Supertramp) on the radio and it just sort of fit.

When I designed the logo I found some "stock" clip art and started to modify them to my liking. I had a few things on my mind that you may (or may not) find interesting.

1. Yeah, the Supertramp album cover had some effect. (so shoot me)

2. Do you remember the scene at the end of "The Planet of the Apes" when the character played by Charlton Heston sees the Statue of Liberty and realizes that it's "the earth" that is currently being run by apes and that the humans had caused it by nuclear war.

3. Ever notice how many people call a cup of coffee "Breakfast". Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy a good cup of coffee (now and then), but I find it strange when people seem to think that they can't function in morning until they down a cup of "liquid caffeine".
