Essay on George Washington
Due Monday, December 17
When historians rate the presidents, George Washington always comes out as one of our country’s greatest presidents. Decide what qualities you feel would define a great president and then write a five-paragraph essay with three specific reasons why he should or should not be considered a great president. Remember that you will only be discussing his role as our nation’s first president and not his role as Commander-in-Chief of our forces during the Revolution. You may use the material we discussed in class, your textbook, and any other research you choose to do. If you use outside materials, remember to include a bibliography.
