Back View - Examples
| The backs of the cards in
this series appear in one of two styles, both
printed in a shade of blue. One type shows a
detailed engraving of the Arbuckle factory
buildings and docks, in a horizontal format with
the card number near the lower left corner, while
the other contains only the standard "Four
Points" sales pitch (Type
'4'), in a vertical format with the card number
at the top center, explaining the virtues of
Arbuckles' Ariosa Coffee. In comparing my own collection with a list supplied by Greg ArBuckle, it appears likely that cards numbered 51-70 exist only with the Four Points back, those numbered 71-80 exist in both varieties, and those numbered 81-100 exist only with the Factory back. If anyone has any cards that would contradict this conclusion, please let me know. |
