SETUP INSTRUCTIONS

Once you've successfully downloaded My ArbyCards, you'll need to expand the distribution file (arbc210f.zip) into any convenient directory. Virtually any "unzipping" utility should suffice.

Then simply locate and execute a program named SETUP.EXE which should be found among the 11 files created when the distribution file was unzipped. This will run a program named InstallShield® which will, in just a few moments, set up everything you need to begin using My ArbyCards. Simply follow InstallShield's instructions. You'll be asked to respond to a couple of questions during the setup process, but in most cases you should be able to just accept the defaults presented and move on to the next step. When the setup has completed, just click on your new My ArbyCards icon and you're off and running.

NOTE FOR CURRENT USERS UPGRADING FROM A PREVIOUS "1.x" VERSION: Please specify the SAME Install directory where your existing version of My ArbyCards resides. (If you accepted the DEFAULT directory during your original installation of My ArbyCards, you may simply accept the default for this installation, as well.)

When the setup has completed, your copy of My ArbyCards will have been upgraded to Version 2.1.0. The first time you run My ArbyCards following installation, the program will also convert your database files to Version 2.0. This process should only take about 30 seconds or so.

UNINSTALLING: If, after trying out My ArbyCards, you should decide it doesn't suit your needs and you'd like to remove it from your machine, just use the "Add/Remove Programs" facility found in the Windows Control Panel. Find the entry for My ArbyCards, double-click it, and UNInstallShield should take care of all the necessary clean-up. If, during your try-out of the program, you entered inventory data for cards in your collection, you'll likely need to manually delete those data files, along with the primary My ArbyCards folder.
