China...twilight for steam...a photo album

I first visited China in 2001 to see steam engines. But I also found a fascinating rapidly changing country. Each time I visit there is something new. My initial visits were to see big 2-10-2's on the world's last steam powered mainline railroad. Mainline steam is history now, but steam continues on some local and industrial lines. This site is currently under reconstruction to reflect some of these changes. Hope to have it back up soon.
