Spencer County Communities
Carter Township communities include:  Dale, Lincoln City and Mariah Hill.  The town of Santa Claus is located at the Carter and Clay townships line.

  • Clay Township communities include:  Buffaloville, Clay City, Kennedy, Lamar and Liberal.  The town of Santa Claus is located at the Carter and Clay townships line, and Lamar is located at the Clay and Huff townships line.

  • Grass Township communities include:  Bloomfield, Centerville, Chrisney and Midway.  Ritchie is situated on the Grass and Ohio townships line.

    Hammond Township communities include:  Grandview and Newtonville.

    Harrison Township communities include:  Fulda, Huffman and St. Meinrad.

    Huff Township communities include:  Evanston, Maxville, New Boston and Schley.  Lamar is located at the Clay and Huff townships line.


    Jackson Township communities include:  Gentryville and Pigeon.


    Luce Township communities include:  Enterprise, Eureka, Hatfield, Richland City and Sand Ridge.


    Ohio Township communities include:  Africa, Lake Mill, Patronville, Pueblo, Reo, Rock Hill, Rockport (the county seat) and Silverdale.  Ritchie is situated on the Grass and Ohio townships line.
