First created in 1849.
County Seat is Grand Rapids.

Itasca County is located in northern Minnesota.  Neighboring Minnesota counties include:  Koochiching county to the north; St. Louis county to the east; Aitkin to the south; Cass county to the southwest and Beltrami county to the west.
