Crow Wing County is located in western Minnesota.  Neighboring Minnesota counties include:  Hennepin, Ramsey and Washington counties to the north and northwest; Goodhue and Rice counties to the south; and Scott county to the west.  The Wisconsin county of Pierce is Dakota County, Minnesota's eastern neighbor.
