as excerpted from the book "Tales
of a Tail Gunner:A Memoir of Seattle and World War II"
With great pleasure, Warbirds World Wide
introduces our friend, a real life hero of WWII, Mr. Eddie Picardo. Eddie
is the author of "Tales of a Tail Gunner:
A Memoir of Seattle and World
War II". He served as a tail gunner on a B-24 during some of the heaviest
fighting in the air war over Europe. Eddie gives us the air war from the
unique perspective of the tail gunner as he takes you with him on daring
daylight raids into the heart of Germany!
We see Eddie at several different
warbird and book signing events every year. Eddie is a great guy, always
quick with a smile or a joke. If you see him signing his book be sure and
say hi, he is a great person to talk with (NOTE- guys keep an eye on your
girls Eddie is quite the charmer!). The following mission is brought to
you courtesy of Mr. Eddie Picardo, from his book "Tales of a Tail Gunner:
A
Memoir of Seattle and World War II"- available in the PX
for 15.00+shipping
(Special thanks to Tony Caruso).
